Meet Our Administration
Dr. Jerry Pyron, Principal
Greetings from McNairy Central High School!
My name is Dr. Jerry Pyron, and I am beginning my fifth year as principal of McNairy Central High School, and my 36th year overall in education.
I began my career in education in Kentucky in 1986. With the exception of two years in the US Army (1987-1989), I have spent 22 years in the classroom and 13 years in administration. It's been exciting and rewarding...being able to see students walk into your classroom or school and to witness over time the adults that they become. To be a small part of that process is an honor and a privilege.
I tell everyone I know that even though I've been in education for 35 years, this is my favorite job yet. I say that because MCHS is a great school. But, great schools are a reflection of great families and great communities. The values and ideals that families and communities impart to their children during their path to adulthood are a large part of what makes a school what it is. Those of us who work at MCHS benefit from that and do our best to contribute even further to those principles so that we all can take pride in molding our children into reliable, happy and productive citizens. This is what makes MCHS the great place that it is.
Thank you for your support of MCHS.
