I teach English III and English IV at McNairy Central High School and have taught as an adjunct instructor for The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Martin. I hold graduate degrees in English and education. I have worked as a literary consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE), an Instruction Partners content coach, an ELA content curator for the Tennessee Digital Learning Project, and an independent unit curriculum designer for Odell Education. In 2020, I was selected as one of five 2020 Tennessee Education Leaders Fellows for TDOE, writing ELA activities for grades 6-12 state standards. I served as a one-year SCORE teacher leadership fellow and a two-year Hope Street Group teacher fellow advocating for educational policy reform in Tennessee. I have worked in administrative positions for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth gifted student program in Hong Kong, Texas, and Pennsylvania. I am a doctoral candidate in education at Lipscomb University in Nashville, studying Learning Organizations and Strategic Change, and I am slated to graduate with the Ed.D degree in December 2025.
