I teach English III and English IV at McNairy Central High School and have taught as an adjunct instructor at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Martin. I hold graduate degrees in English and education. Furthermore, I have worked as a literary consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE), an Instruction Partners content coach, an ELA content curator for the Tennessee Digital Learning Project, and an independent unit curriculum designer for Odell Education. In 2020, I was selected as one of five 2020 Tennessee Education Leaders Fellows for TDOE, writing ELA activities for grades 6-12 state standards. I served as a one-year SCORE teacher leadership fellow and a two-year Hope Street Group teacher fellow, advocating for educational policy reform in Tennessee. I have worked in summer administrative positions for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth gifted student program in Hong Kong (2018, 2019), Texas (2022), and Pennsylvania (2024). During fall semester 2025, I participated as a WestTeach leadership fellow via UT Martin's WestStar program. In December 2025, I completed my doctoral degree in educational leadership at Lipscomb University in Nashville, with a focus on Learning Organizations and Strategic Change.
