Welcome to the Health Science Cluster at McNairy Central High School! Health science is one of the largest industries in the country, with more than 11 million jobs, including the self-employed. The health science industry includes establishments ranging from small-town private practice physicians who employ only one medical assistant to busy inner city hospitals that provide thousands of diverse jobs. More than half of all non-hospital health service establishments employ fewer than five workers. On the other hand, almost two-thirds of hospital employees were in establishments with more than 1,000 workers .
We offer a variety of medical classes to meet the needs of the growing industry with many hands on activities to prepare students for a future career in healthcare.

Students have the opportunity to compete at regional, state and national levels against students from other high schools around the country and have been very successful in the past. This opportunity has the potential to gain them national recognition as well as possible scholarship and internship opportunities that may help to further their education and may one day influence their potential careers.
