III. Rules, Expectations, and Procedures
Be prepared. Come to class with supplies and any notes you may have taken.
Control your actions. Use your filter and don’t comment on things that don’t pertain to our class. Also keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Be responsible. Do your own work and own up to your actions and words.
Be respectful. Be polite to everyone and respect boundaries.
When you enter the room, take your seat and be prepared to work on bell work. Everything else should be put away. Use the restroom, get notebooks, and sharpen pencils before class. Once you are in class, you are expected to remain there until the period ends. Plan to work on history during the entire class; I will take up any other work. Sleeping in class will result in half of your points being deducted for the day; this includes days in which we watch a video. I expect assignments to be completed in class unless otherwise specified. All assignments are to be completed by individual students, unless I specify peers or groups may assist. Raise your hand to get out of your seat for any reason, but wait until the instruction is over to do so. I follow the MCBOE policy regarding student devices in class.
Discipline Policy
I expect all students to maintain a respectful and mature classroom culture. However, I will discipline when necessary. Minor infractions will receive a warning before I call parents/guardians or documenting behavior on a tracking form. If the behavior continues I will call home as well as refer the matter to the office, per McNairy County Board of Education Code of Conduct and Discipline Procedures. Cheating will result in an automatic zero.
