I'm very excited to have you (or your student) in one of my Spanish classes at McNairy Central High School this year! I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Arts & Humanities in 2017. Since then I have taught at Haywood High School in Brownsville, TN and Lexington High School in Lexington, TN. 

      Since 2019, I have been using various acquisition-driven practices, such as Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS®), in my classroom to create a rich learning environment that benefits ALL students who wish to learn. I firmly believe that ALL people can learn languages if they're taught in a way that aligns with how our brains work to process language, which mimicks  how we learned our first language. (More about that later. See "The Methods" page.) 

       I'm here to support my students and help them not only learn Spanish, but learn about who they are and want to be and figure out how to make their dreams happen.
